An extruder is a type of plastic machinery that originated in the 18th century. Based on the direction of material flow at the die and the angle between the screw’s central axis, extruders can be classified into straight-angle dies and oblique-angle dies, among others.

　　Based on the flow direction of the material at the die head and the angle between the screw’s central axis, extruders can be classified into straight-angle dies and oblique-angle dies, among others.

　　A screw extruder relies on the pressure and shear force generated by the rotation of the screw to thoroughly plasticize and uniformly mix the material, which is then shaped through a die. Plastic extruders can be broadly classified into twin-screw extruders, single-screw extruders, less commonly used multi-screw extruders, and screwless extruders.
